Boxes N Bags Delivery is an authorized Local Commerce Service Partner (LCSP) operating on the DoorDash platform. We coordinate and employ delivery drivers across the Hampton Roads area to fulfill food, grocery, convenience, and retail orders.
We operate as an authorized DoorDash LCSP — deliveries are managed through the DoorDash Courier app with full platform support.
Starting at $17/hr plus 100% of your tips. Earn a raise to $18/hr after 30 days of successful deliveries. Mileage reimbursement included.
Evening operations 4 PM – midnight, seven days a week. Schedules vary by demand — we work with you to find the right fit.
Deliver food, groceries, convenience items, and retail packages — a consistent stream of orders keeps you earning through your shift.
This role supports DoorDash, Inc. under an authorized service agreement through Boxes N Bags Delivery, LLC. All positions are seasonal/temporary — the current contract term is six months.

Screening Guide

Prior delivery, retail, or service role history. Longevity at previous jobs is a strong signal. Candidates don't need prior delivery experience — look for reliability, professionalism, and a service mindset.
Answers that mention timeliness, communication, politeness, and accuracy. Avoid candidates who seem indifferent to the customer experience — this is a direct customer-facing role.
This is a hard operational requirement. Schedules vary by demand, but evening and weekend availability is non-negotiable. Confirm flexibility clearly upfront to avoid attrition.
Verify they understand the license/record requirement. Also probe for comfort with rain, heavy traffic, and nighttime driving — all common in Hampton Roads.
A ride-share addendum/endorsement is required before the first shift. Many standard personal auto policies exclude commercial use — the endorsement closes that gap. If a candidate isn't sure, advise them to call their insurer before moving forward.
Dashers operate in the field without a manager on-site. Strong candidates demonstrate self-direction, comfort with solo decision-making, and the ability to problem-solve in the moment.
Couriers use the DoorDash Courier app and a payroll app every shift. Basic smartphone proficiency is required. If hesitant, ask follow-up questions about their current phone usage.
Be transparent about the seasonal/temporary nature of the role. Candidates who need long-term stability may not be the right fit. Candidates who want consistent income for a defined period are ideal.

The DoorDash app couriers use to receive assignments, start/end shifts, and report issues. Dispatchers should know it thoroughly.
Analytics dashboard for tracking long-term performance metrics, scorecard trends, and delivery quality over time.
Couriers clock in/out each shift. Use this to validate timecards and ensure accurate hourly pay processing.
